BFY Brands, the newest brand addition to Frito-Lay (and PepsiCo) has an opportunity for a Local Driver (Class A CDL) to join the team. The Local Driver position is responsible for transporting products you know and love to local destinations. You will safely operate a tractor/trailer (usually an automatic Volvo, international or freight liner; diesel/natural gas) and transport products to and from specified destinations in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Most local runs have no layovers although required work hours may be up to the legal limits.

To give you a better understanding of our day to day operations, here is a list of some of the more frequent tasks that you would be doing:

· You will inspect your truck prior to your trip as well as when you return to the facility

· You will be shuttling trailers at local Frito-Lay Warehouse Centers Centers and performing drop and hook and swaps.

· You will obtain signature of receipt from the appropriate point of contact upon delivery

· You may also pick up product due to be returned

· You will also be completing logs and other paperwork related to deliveries

This is a physical job. If you have never held a job that requires loading and unloading, know that it can be physically demanding, particularly during inclement weather, or when temperatures reach upper and lower extremes. How much does a box of chips weigh? The answer is about 5 pounds, and Local Drivers are moving up to 50 pounds at once, which is about the same as 6 gallons of water. At times, this also involves uploading dead stack product, which means that cases are not palletized and they are stacked from the floor to the ceiling of the trailer.

Does this sound like the role for you? Join nearly 55,000 other Frito-Lay associates across the country that work hard to bring you the snacks you love by submitting your application today.
